Weekend Pretties

Kleenex My cold from a couple weeks ago seems to be lingering on, but at least I have cute Kleenex that compliments my decor, right? ;)

Happy Friday!  How was your week?  Progress is being made with our bathroom, though nothing pretty to show yet.  The crew finishes laying the concrete board foundation today and will start tiling Monday.  This weekend Parker and I have a few bathroom project-related errands to run and things to buy, but other than that I’m hoping it will be pretty relaxing.  We are currently spending lots of time at my parent’s house since we are without a shower, and as much as I love my parents, I am looking forward to walking down the hall to take a shower and not driving across town.  Thank goodness they’re so close though! :)

Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend?  Here are some fun links if you find yourself in the mood for browsing:

My favorite story from this week: Four-year-old and her mom make paper dresses together.

Pretty much my dream house.

Even Oprah is getting on board with the “less is more” movement.

I have loved The Kitchn’s look back at famous foods from past decades this week.  Here are 10 recipes that defined the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Top selling musicians in each state.

Every Best Actress Oscars dress since 1929.

Did I share this already?  Even if I did, it’s cute enough to share twice: Theo and Beau, two months later and still napping together.

I’m hoping to get into this series this weekend to cure my Downton Abbey withdrawls.

The weather turned chilly again this week and homemade ramen sounds amazing.

Love this all white bedroom.

A gorgeous guide to house plants.

This post is sponsored by Kleenex, but all opinions are my own.  Kleenex is hosting a sweepstakes through March 7th called, “Catwalk or Kleenex?”  To enter, visit www.kleenex.com/style and answer a series of questions asking you to identify which design is Kleenex brand and which design is from the catwalk. By taking the short quiz, you are automatically entered to win an all-expense paid trip for two to New York City to find your Kleenex brand style with a famous designer. The winner will also receive $5,000 spending money for a NYC shopping spree. Entry is open through March 7th and limited to once per promotion period.

You should also check out The Manor House on Amazon Prime. It’s a reality series from 2001 that puts people in the working situations of the Edwardian period to see what it was like to live during that time. Found it rather interesting.

Oh, I think I saw that way back when it first aired. Was it a PBS show? If it’s the one I’m thinking of, it was really good. I’ll have to check it out since it’s on Prime.
