Piedmont Park, one of my favorite places in Atlanta.Trying to get back in to running. This weather helps.I’can’t decide if this is the prettiest fall I’ve ever seen or if I’m finally appreciating fall in all it’s glory for the first time.Stephen Kellogg, a long time favorite, made me realize how much I missed live music when I lived out i the suburbs for three years.I mean, just look at that face.
Friday! It’s here. Did you have a good week? For the most part, mine was great. Live music, hanging with girlfriends, getting work done on the house, lots of walks through the forest with Frank. Only one meltdown when it came to the countertops drama – Lumber Liquidators failed us again and still didn’t have our countertops delivered, after a month of waiting, and couldn’t tell us when they would have them. So, I pulled out my best Donald Trump impression, hand gesture and all, and said “Ya fired!” Actually Parker did that part because I was too emotionally unstable to do it, but that’s not the point. So, we’re going back to Plan A which is Ikea butcherblock counters. Not nearly as pretty as the walnut ones we had ordered, but not nearly as expensive either ($1,000 back in our pocket – hello, upside!) and we will be picking those up today and having them installed next week (god willing, knock on wood, fingers crossed, etc etc). And that’s better than sitting on our hands, waiting for any number of weeks or months for LL to come through.
It’s getting chilly around Atlanta, and to me that means lingering in bed on the weekends, browsing the innterwebs for cool stuff. If that’s happening in your life too, here are some fun things to look at.
Having a party but ran out of fridge space? Don’t worry.
Love this site to find unique, handmade gifts for the upcoming holidays (it’s like Etsy was back in the day, before Etsy got watered down and hard to find the good stuff).
I will never tire of Beth’s styling and food photography (and the recipe looks amazing too).
Love these rosemary wreaths for the holidays.
I want one (or five…) of these colorful cotton throw blankets.
A true artist.
Powerful National Geographic images.
Intrigued by the new eco-friendly bees wrap.
Sunday Suppers + Kinfolk = match made in heaven.
