Weekend Pretties

Hey all!  How was your week?!  Home ownership is all very new and exciting to us – and expensive!  Remodeling ain’t cheap, folks.  But we’re staying focused on the vision of the finished product, which will be so lovely and bright.  Our home.

Full steam ahead though, I went tile shopping on Wednesday (what do you think of the hex tile I picked out in the photo above?  I love it!) and tomorrow we’re headed downtown to “the largest discount building material surplus and salvage warehouse in Georgia.”  My dad tipped me off to this place when I told him I was looking for some old doors with character and maybe a vintage claw foot bathtub too (though renovating the bathrooms aren’t even on the list for Phase I renovations…).  Wish us luck, I hope we find some treasures.

Katy, thank you so much for sharing about the building supply store. We have been looking for vintage doors to separate our dining room from our kitchen, and a friend of mine told me about this place. However, for the life of me, I couldn’t find it on the internet. I thought it was just a mythical home improvement wonderland. Im excited to go visit.
