Happy Friday everyone! Was your week a good one? Mine was not as productive as I would have liked, but with Springtime being so good to us Atlantans (and knowing it’s just a short matter of time before the weather turns too hot) I couldn’t help but sneak outside for some dozing under the big tree in my yard, and some extra walks with Frank around the neighborhood. Sometimes you just need to stop and smell the roses, ya know? Oh, also – Parker and I finally bit the bullet and bought a nice down comforter (we’ve been talking about it for two years…) and last night was our first night getting to sleep with our new purchase. Oh my, it was heavenly! I stayed the perfect temperature all night long, which I just didn’t think was possible, and I woke up early feeling well rested and ready to start the day well before I normally do. Money well spent.
Any fun plans for your weekend? We were supposed to be headed to a Strawberry Festival near Athens that I was so excited about, but I’ve just learned it’s cancelled due to the 40% chance that it might rain (yeah, I’m a little bitter about it; I have been looking forward to it all week long). So, I’m not sure what fun things we’ll get in to this weekend instead. We’ll probably get completely caught up with Downton Abbey from bed, curling up under our lovely new comforter.
Here are some fun links for your weekend! xoxo
These apology notes from kids are hilarious.
How cute! Wish I had made these ceramic plant markers so I would know what’s popping up around my garden (but I like surprises too, so it’s okay..)
Boiled Peanuts! A southern delight – have you ever had any?
Love this idea so much: Interview Your Parents.
Absolutely love Sarah’s crisp white kitchen with butcher block countertops and open shelving.
Did you know Fergie (you know, the singer) designs shoes? I actually really like these nude pumps..
Yum! Adding these Black Bean and Quinoa Veggie Burgers to the menu for next week.
Behind the Blog: Cupcakes and Cashmere (the first blog I check every morning and my most favorite)
Have you ever experienced “Exploding Head Syndrome“? I have a few times and it’s pretty scary.
Simple and chic: metallic spray painted rocks as bookends.
The other night Parker and I were craving something sweet, but didn’t want to ruin all the hard work we did that day (3 mile sprint intervals! oy..) so I found this recipe and let me tell you – it’s a keeper!
What a great housewarming party this must have been.
I have just discovered the most perfect layering tank top (with a built in bra) for only $6! I bought 5.
How would you re-imagine your wedding?
