Breakfast for dinner at one of our favorites.Truth is, I bought them because they’re pretty but I have no idea what to make with persimmons.Lots of rain around these parts lately. Been waking up to fog and drizzle every day this week. A power outage turned romantic candle-lit dinner.
Long time no blog, yeah? Sorry. I haven’t felt much like blogging. This renovation has me feeling a little depressed and it’s zapped a lot of my energy and creativity. We still don’t have part of our countertops and Ikea has no idea when we will, our builder has been MIA so we’re going to have to finish what they started by ourselves, and in general, talking about it just makes me want to cry. So that’s where we’re at on that. And that’s why I haven’t felt much like blogging. No one wants to hear about the depressing parts of renovating a home and if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all, right? :) But I’m starting to peel myself off the floor and get in to DIY mode with a lot of this stuff now that we know we aren’t waiting on our builder anymore. Things are looking up. And even with so much not finished, Parker and I both really love our home and this awesome neighborhood we moved to.
Oh! And our new sofa came and it’s – so!! – cool. I’ll show an update of our living room next week now that the sofa is in place. This weekend we’re hosting dinner for my family now that we have places to sit and even without all of my counters, I’m excited to make it work and cook up a storm.
Have a wonderful weekend. Here are some fun things to look at if you are in a browsing mood.
