The past week has felt particularly inspiring on Pinterest. So much beauty popping up in my feed! Both from others and things I’m finding around the interwebs that I can’t help but pin. Last night I had dinner with a bunch of girlfriends and someone brought up this article that talks about a new concept called Pinterest Stress*. The idea that the curated images and carefully crafted what-have-you are causing many to feel inadequate and like they’ll never be able to live up to all the cool things others are creating. I find that so silly. Pinterest has always been inspiring to me. It’s helped me understand my aesthetic and what I’m most drawn to. I also find it interesting to see how that aesthetic has evolved over the years of using the site (so many pins I should delete!). Most of all, I just love absorbing the images, all so pretty and all in one place. I can’t get enough!
This week I am loving:
This gorgeous white cotton lace dress on a tanned and messy-haired beauty that is so pretty I can’t look away. (PS – I have searched high and low for the original image source with no luck; if you know, will you tell me? xo)
This painted screened in porch with mid-century furniture that I probably would never leave from April-October.
And finally, this tiny Big Sur wedding that had me gasping in awe. Since our brief trip there recently, Big Sur holds such a special place in my heart and this wedding looked like an absolute dream come true.
*I’d love to know: what do you think of “Pinterest Stress”? Is this a legitimate concern or something that makes you roll your eyes and say “Oh puh-lease!” ? :)
