Happy Friday :)
It’s Memorial Day weekend! The unofficial start to summer and I‘m like, “Wha?? Already?” but it’s true. And Parker’s birthday always falls around Memorial Day (this year it’s on Wednesday) so we’ll be celebrating this weekend. Low key and no nonsense, as he swears he doesn’t care about birthdays, but I can’t help but want to make a little fuss over my sweetheart.
Those eggs are from my neighbor’s hens! They went out of town and I got to be the lucky one to take care of them in exchange for free eggs while they’re gone. And by “take care” I mean basically do nothing because they are so easy. Throw out a little feed, make sure they have water…they even put themselves to sleep at night and all I have to do is shut the door behind them and open it again in the morning. And for that I get organic, free-range eggs?! I’m now seriously scheming where we could put a coop in our backyard and have our own chickens.
I know I have been neglecting this blog (sad face!) but I hope to have lots of good stuff to share next week. For now though, here are some links I wanted to share. Enjoy the long weekend!
